New Vice Presidents Promoted & New Associate Joins Team

San Jose, CA | June 3, 2022 — After assuming the CEO position in April of this year, Carl Norman has announced some strategic personnel changes at Capstone Financial Group.  Norman named two new Vice Presidents – Chandler Kohn, who will now serve as Vice President of Investment Banking; and Tim Yoder who will be Vice President of Research. Along with these two promotions, Capstone has also added a new Associate, Amanda DiSanti.

Mr. Kohn previously worked as an Investment Banking Associate at Capstone, a position he held for just under two years. In that role, he was spread across all of Capstone’s deals and was actively involved in early-stage due diligence including creation of client CIMs and management presentations. In his expanded role, Mr. Kohn will focus more on strategy definition from beginning (market material creation) to end (receipt of LOIs) in order to help clients receive institutional investment at highly favorable valuations. Mr. Kohn holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Tulane University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from College of Charleston.

Before assuming the role of Vice President of Research, Mr. Yoder was also an existing Capstone team member. He formerly spent just over six years as the company’s Director of Research, where he increased the companies covered by the firm’s proprietary data platform by over 200 percent. As Vice President of Research, Mr. Yoder will be leveraging Capstone’s extensive database towards accelerated deal flow, enhanced transparency on the transactional level, and additional insight on market forecasting and similar functions. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History.

The newest professional joining the team is Amanda DiSanti, who began working as an Associate with the company in April.  She will be primarily responsible for due diligence, market analysis, and business development across Capstone’s entire client roster, and will also provide support as needed to both the investment and research branches of the firm. Prior to Capstone, Ms. DiSanti worked as an Investment Strategy Associate at Fieldpoint Private, as Senior Financial Analyst for the Orlando Utilities Commission in Florida, and as the Cash & Investment Officer for the Orange County Comptroller’s office, also in Florida. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida.

“Our team is evolving to better assist new technologies and concepts with maximizing their market potential and profitability,” said Norman. “By further refining our core competencies, Capstone is increasingly well suited to serve companies and brands at any stage of the development process.”
