John is a seasoned technology executive and an advisor to technology-driven businesses. He serves as an advisor to Capstone in assessing automotive technologies, market segments and tech teams. Prior to his involvement with Capstone, John led and advised many companies that developed the foundations for systems, sub-systems, software, and processors for the transportation market. These companies included IBM, Intel, MIPS and multiple startups. John is fluent in understanding control systems, processors, vision systems, networking and machine learning. He has led six private companies as CEO and a public intellectual property company as COO, and he has been an advisor to more than 25 companies. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and holds more than 20 patents.
